Casinha Canal
The Casinha is only a few minutes walk from the nearest hospital, doctor, dentist or pharmacy.
Our ‘house information’ with over 20 pages of information about everything that is important including local travel information and tips, will be provided upon your arrival.
The Casinha is not suitable for small children or infirm people due to the stairs in the house.
A side note about the “Centro Histórico” of Lagos:
Please be aware that in the historic center of Lagos, where our holiday home is located, there has been an increase in construction and renovation activities in recent years. Consequently, there is a possibility that construction or renovation work may take place in the neighborhood, which as landlords, we cannot foresee or influence. If you highly value tranquility during your stay, we recommend considering this when choosing accommodation in the “centro histórico”. We are always committed to ensuring a pleasant and relaxing stay for you and are happy to assist with any questions or concerns you may have.

Beautiful and tastefully decorated in historic section of Lagos, which also happens to be a wonderful and beautiful town. No need for a car here as bus and train are short ( 10-15 minutes) distance to house . Would rebook without hesitation.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
In the house the individual equipment and the colour design captivates, which conveys well-being and joie de vivre. Remarkable also the “small library” with selected books (not only worth reading in bad weather) Good the quiet situation in the old town and nevertheless one is in 5 minutes footpath in the pulsating life of Lagos with music, artistic performances and every possibility to eat very well. Breakfast in the morning around the corner completes the holiday pampering program in this enchanting city in Lagos, spoiled by the sun god. This charming city in Portugal, which has so much to offer, that if you have to leave at all, your next stay in Uta & Marc`s domicile will be in focus.

Seven more reasons for visiting the Algarve (and stay in our vacation homes)
Portugal is serious about wine.
Despite the famous Port Wine, Portugal seems to be in the second-tier in the wine world, right after France, Italy, and Spain. And yet, Portuguese wines win the most prestigious awards every year.

Neighbourhood markets are fun.
Markets are the essence and beating heart of any town or city, and Portugal is not an exception. In
Azulejos Tileart.
There’s no other place in the world where #tileart is so popular. Prepare to find elegant-painted tiles on the historical buildings, modern design instalments and even souvenirs shops.
Be careful where you buy the tiles from though. In recent years, a parallel business consisting of ripping tiles off from walls and sell it in places like street fairs and markets – e.g. Feira da Ladra, in Lisbon – has arisen.
Fado music will grab your heart.
Fado is probably the most melancholic and profoundly emotional music you’ll ever hear and still somehow makes the ideal soundtrack for every trip to Portugal. Even if you don’t understand a word, it has the power to make you thoughtful.
Although recent years have broken all records in tourism, you can still expect many calm and peaceful places. Many authentic restaurants, shops, and experiences remain authentic, particularly if you venture out to the inside of the country.
Algarve is perfect for sun-seekers.
Probably this is the Portugal you know better. This is where millions of tourists – including 95% of all Portuguese families – flock every year seeking the three Ss: sun, sea, and sand. Despite the summer crowds, the weather is fantastic, and the beaches are renowned worldwide, especially around Lagos, Tavira and Portimão.
You’ll learn what Saudade is.
After you’ve been to Portugal, something will grow on you. You’ll start missing the country and its people, weather and culture. Suddenly, a wave of nostalgia wins you over. Congrats, now you know what every Portuguese person feels when they’re away from home:
